Twelve members of the Nursing Class of '65 got together for their 58th reunion in Victoria, BC for afternoon tea and dinner.
Our group, Nursing 65, as we call ourselves, has been together for 62 years now, as friends. We have been doing regular reunions for many years – going from every 10 years, to 5, to 2 and now we are organized for 2024. We find it great to connect in-person now that we can again. We met via Zoom for a while and now are planning annual gatherings for us to celebrate our long-term relationships that were initiated by the UBC Nursing program and our special instructors who supported us many years ago. It was an important growth time in our lives and we always enjoy resharing some of those memories.
The friends you make at UBC are those that stay with you forever. Our shared memories are very important and this gathering is one more memory to hold on to!
