Connect with our business development team.

Submit a capstone project

During their final year, most engineering students must complete a major, year-long capstone project. In small teams, they use the knowledge and skills gained during their studies, to solve challenging real-world problems proposed by industry partners. Proposal submission is open May-July annually.

Participate in Design & Innovation Day

At Design and Innovation Day, students who have recently completed their capstone projects will have the opportunity to showcase their solution to their peers, professors, and industry. This is UBC Engineering’s largest showcase of the year, featuring projects across the engineering undergraduate programs. Provide students with valuable industry insights by becoming a project judge. Design and Innovation Day is typically held in April of each year.

Attend a networking event

From discipline-specific networking events to the annual Engineering Undergraduate Society’s Career Fair, the Faculty of Applied Science offers many opportunities for organizations to connect with our emerging talent.
