On August 27, six Applied Science alumni currently working in the electric utilities industry in Toronto connected over a tasty meal. We welcomed old and new friends who shared a common experience from the West Coast and reminisced about our university days. It was really interesting to see how all of us are using our engineering skills to help advance electrical grid development in the province of Ontario.
By connecting over a meal, our group was able to discuss the latest trends, share personal interests, and explore potential collaborations that could drive innovation within our field. This gathering was also a reminder of the strong bond that UBC Applied Science alumni share, regardless of where their careers have taken them. The sense of community was palpable, with everyone eager to build new friendships and support each other’s professional growth. Thank you UBC APSC for supporting this alumni activity!
