Class of '68 Civil Engineering Reunion

This group of 11 (from a class of 35) met in 2023 to celebrate 55 years of real-life survival - post our years at UBC. That get-together prompted us to target another session 2 years later (when most of us were reaching the 80-year age milestone). So, we did it again this year with similar success. There was one new face in 2025 but unfortunately two classmates from the 2023 reunion were unable to attend. At both events we met in a private room at the River Rock Casino in Richmond for conversations, drinks & a meal. This year, 5 wives joined the 11 participating graduates. Like 2023, one activity comprised of a brief description of life-highlights by each engineer. The variations in their described families, activities and careers were significant but all credited UBC and Civil Engineering as a meaningful component of their successes. If all goes well, and the enthusiasm continues, we'll do it again in another two years (or 3 to hit 60 years after graduation).

For those interested, this year's participants in alphabetical order were: Ken Finch, Verne Janzen, Shannon King, Jim Lightfoot, Don McDougald, John McNally, John Morse, Lynn Spraggs, Lloyd Thate, John Thompson and Doug Whitehead.
