Last night was something special—I got the chance to catch up with some of my old Capstone/UBC Baja design team buddies over drinks and burgers at Bin-4. Let me tell you, it was a blast from the past. Back in our university days, Bin-4 was our go-to spot for their late-night burger deal ($11 burgers!). So, when the idea of a reunion popped into my head, I knew exactly where we had to meet. Despite some of our crew being out of town due to work commitments, four of us managed to make it happen.
One of our buddies, Mark, was even in town for just one day before flying out to Mexico the next morning. Talk about perfect timing! And let me tell you, it was totally worth it. It had been a whole year since we graduated, so there was a lot to catch upon. We swapped stories about our jobs, shared tales from recent trips, and reminisced about the good ol' days of late-night lab sessions fueled by Red Bulls. Ah, the memories. We couldn't help but chuckle about Eli's insane caffeine tolerance that he developed during our final year of school. Seriously, that guy could down a whole pot of coffee and still be ready for more.
But you know what really stole the show? The Bin-4 burgers, of course! It had been so long since all of us had been there, reminding us of all the celebrations and milestones we marked at Bin-4 back in the day. As the night came to a close, we made a pact to do this more often. After all, life gets busy, but catching up with old friends is always worth it. We promised to meet up again soon, once everyone's back in town and ready to chow down on some more delicious burgers.
