With the weather being amazing this summer, alumni from UBC Mining decided that it would be an excellent idea to have a picnic at Kitsilano Beach. We enjoyed fried chicken, fruits, and other snacks while soaking up the sunshine. All of us are recent graduates and it was great to hear about the different experiences and paths that each of us took. We had so many interesting stories to share, from working at a fly-in fly-out mine in Northern BC to building startups. Thanks to everyone who showed up and I hope we continue to have fun get-togethers in the future!
