It was a warm and sunny afternoon when the UBC Mechanical Engineering graduates of 2011 gathered once again for a heartwarming alumni picnic at Nanaimo Park in Vancouver. The beautiful park and playground provided the perfect backdrop for old friends to reconnect, reminisce about their college days, and introduce their little ones to the place that had been such a significant part of their lives. One of the highlights of the day was seeing how many of the graduates had started families of their own. From toddlers taking their first steps to curious school-age children, it was clear that the bonds formed during their time at UBC were now extending to the next generation. Parents proudly introduced their kids to their college buddies. The day concluded with a group photo capturing the spirit of the event – a vibrant group of UBC Mechanical Engineering graduates, their partners, and their kids.
As the sun began to set on this memorable day, it was evident that the UBC Class of 2011 had not only achieved professional success but had also built lasting friendships and created a tight-knit community that extended beyond their college years. The alumni picnic was a testament to the enduring connections forged during their time at UBC, and it left everyone looking forward to the next reunion, where they could once again celebrate their shared experiences and the bright future ahead for their children.
