
Tagg Jefferson
BASc '13 Integrated Engineering
Tagg Jefferson is the founder and CEO of GridCure, a company that builds software-as-a-service predictive analytics for electrical power utilities to help improve reliability of the smart grid overall. GridCure has received awards and financing by groups such as Next 36 and 500 Startups, has been covered in publications ranging from the Financial Times to Techcrunch, and has utility clients across North America.
Generally fascinated in the changing face of electricity generation and transmission, Tagg has previously been involved in smart metering projects as close to home as British Columbia and as far away as Bangalore, India. He is always eager to share ideas about the industry, and has previously been invited to speak on the changing electrical network at various TEDx events in Europe and at the SXSW conference in the US.
While at UBC, Tagg was involved in the Engineering Undergraduate Society in a variety of roles, and is most proud of his contribution to the new Engineering Student Centre. He is a graduate of Integrated Engineering from UBC.
