Gabriel Potvin receives engineering education award
Gabriel Potvin, an instructor in the UBC Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering, has received the Ron Britton Engineering Education Vanguard Award from the Canadian Engineering Education Association.
The award aims to recognize early-career faculty members who have "committed to the development of engineering education in Canada through practice and/or research." Recipients are selected based on evidence of, among other things, teaching effectiveness, contributions to the learning environment, and leadership in innovation, change and excellence in pedagogical research or service to students and peers.
