
UBC Applied Science is excited to bring you the Applied Science Activity Fund!
Dip into the Applied Science piggy bank and host your own alumni gathering. With up to $100 available per activity, the possibilities are endless. To get you thinking, example activities include (but are not limited to):
- A meal at a local restaurant
- Bowling and pizza
- A painting class
- Attending a sporting event
- Spikeball at the park/a picnic on the beach
The process:
Submit your application for review and get organizing! Once our committee has reviewed your application, we will send you an email to let you know your event has been approved.
Alumni will have until December 01, 2023 to submit receipts, the list of attendees, recaps and photos.
The fine print:
All applications will be reviewed by a committee.
The purpose of this fund is to help our alumni foster meaningful connections with each other, outside our faculty-led events. The majority of attendees must be Applied Science alumni.
$100 dollars is available per application. To ensure that funds are used appropriately, we will reimburse alumni once we receive receipts and a list of attendees.
We also require a short recap and photos from your gathering so that we can share on our website and social media in order to promote the Activity Fund.
