The 50th reunion for the mechanical engineering graduating class of 1968 took place at Green College on September 14 and 15, 2018.  The class has celebrated reunions every five years since the 25th reunion in 1993.  Of the original graduating class of 39, 22 classmates attended over the 2 nights, plus 12 spouses.  The majority attended both nights.  A number of attendees traveled from as far away as Ontario and Quebec to participate in the gathering.

On the first night the group was joined by the current Dean of Applied Science, James Olson, and the Department Head for Mechanical Engineering, Steve Feng. The main organizer of the event, Brian Callow, proudly introduced his grandson Phil Pomeroy who graduated in Mechanical Engineering this year, exactly 50 years after his grandfather.

The consensus of the group was to keep up the tradition of 5-year reunions, meeting again at Green College in 2023.
