Randy Findlay
Findlay graduated from UBC with BASc ( Chem) in 1973. He spent over 30 years, the last 20 in executive positions, in Canada’s oil and gas industry while living in Calgary. He “realigned” in 2005 and took on the role of corporate director for numerous public and private companies based in Canada and the US. His philanthropic and volunteer interests include, children’s health, mental health and homelessness having chaired campaigns and not for profit organizations. Findlay was a member of the UBC Campaign Cabinets for both Vancouver and the Okanagan, taking specific responsibility for UBC O Engineering. He is a member of the UBC Alumni Board and the Dean’s Advisory Council for Applied Science. He is the proud 2014 recipient of the Alumni Volunteer Leadership Award. He is a Life Member of the Association of Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and was awarded the designation of ICD.D from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He has been married to Claudia for 44 years and they enjoy spending time with their three children and five grandchildren between their homes in Calgary and Palm Springs.
