
Ossama Hassanein
Dr. Ossama Hassanein is an entrepreneur, mentor, and venture capitalist. Over the last 30 years, he has managed $1 billion of international technology funds in diverse leadership roles. He led the mezzanine financing of 80+ Silicon Valley companies that became spectacular successes including: Atmel; PMC Sierra; LSI Logic; and Oracle. He was also chairman or cofounder of seven leading-edge digital communication startups in the US, UK, Switzerland and France.
He currently serves on the board of Bank of the West in San Francisco, is chairman of the Rising Tide Funds, and charter member of the C-100, a Silicon-Valley based association dedicated to mentoring and financing Canadian entrepreneurs. He has served on Board of Advisors of Harvard University Center for ME Studies and UCSF Department of Ophthalmology in San Francisco.
He was a guest speaker at the White House, Commonwealth Club, MIT, Stanford University, UC Berkeley and the World Bank.
