
Kristin Dangelmaier
Born in Bellingham, WA, to Canadian parents, Kristin completed her Chemical Engineering degree at UBC in 1989 and began her career working at the Procter & Gamble pulp mill in Grande Prairie, AB. The ensuing 35 years saw Kristin dedicate herself to Environment and Technical leadership roles in the pulp and paper sector, working in the United States and Canada for P&G, Weyerhaeuser, Domtar and Kruger.
Throughout her career, Kristin has maintained a strong focus on both internal and external stakeholders. Within the local community, Kristin has led efforts to promote STEM knowledge and careers, and increase the general public’s understanding of facility operations. At the provincial and federal level, Kristin has been an active leader in the environmental policy and regulation arena, working closely with industry peers, associations and government to find common ground and solutions.
Kristin has been a guest speaker at diversity and leadership workshops, and her contributions have been recognized via the Forest Products Association of Canada’s (FPAC) Women in Forestry Award and Pulp and Paper Canada’s Hall of Fame. Kristin is semi-retired but continues her commitment to the sector’s environmental performance through a term position with FPAC as Acting V.P. of Environment and Climate Policy.
