John Ritchie
John Ritchie is a Civil Engineer (BASc '69 and MASc '71) with more than 40 years of experience in the field of water resources and hydropower planning and engineering with Acres International and with Hatch Associates. Throughout his career he has actively supported Canadian engineering and hydropower industry associations through board memberships and executive positions. Following his work in Canada and in Asia, John served as the anti-corruption Compliance Director for a large engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) team implementing a major Liquefied natural gas project in Western Australia. Until 2018 he served on the Board of Directors of BC Hydro, and on the Board of Directors of Transparency International Canada.
John currently supports the integrity management initiatives of the International Federation of Consulting Engineers (FIDIC) through its Integrity Management Committee, and he serves as Co-Director of the Vancouver - based Anti- Corruption Law Program (ACLP). This program, which is affiliated with the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC, offers regular seminars, conferences and colloquia on topics related to anti-corruption.
