Jim McEwen

James A. (Jim) McEwen received the BASc and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from the University of British Columbia in 1971 and 1975 respectively, and has been awarded honorary DSc degrees from UBC and Simon Fraser University. In addition to being involved in a number of foundations, associations and companies, he is currently Adjunct Professor of Orthopaedics and Electrical and Computer Engineering at UBC. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer, a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and a Fellow of the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society. In 2012, he was honoured with an appointment as an Officer of the Order of Canada.
