
Hamid Abdollahi
Hamid is a Vancouver-based technology entrepreneur known for his innovative contributions to the fields of wearable technology and robotics. He founded Recon Instruments, which launched the world’s first smart eyewear for sports, revolutionizing activities like snowboarding and cycling. The company was later acquired by Intel in 2015. Hamid is also the Chairman of Novarc Technologies, a leader in robotic welding innovation.
Currently, as the Founder and CEO of MATT3R, Hamid is dedicated to solving complex problems in the autonomous vehicle space, empowering drivers and enhancing road safety as vehicles become more intelligent. With a master’s degree in engineering from UBC, Hamid’s career has been built on leveraging his expertise in design, sensors and robotics to create impactful technological solutions.
