Fred Kaiser founded Alpha Technologies in Burnaby, B.C. in 1975 to design, manufacture and distribute power conversion products for the cable TV and telecom sectors. Today, as Chairman/CEO of The Alpha Group, Mr. Kaiser has built a global alliance of independent companies dedicated to the development and manufacture of total power solutions. Through innovative engineering and a commitment to excellence, The Alpha Group has established itself as an industry leader in the design and manufacture of AC, DC and Renewable power conversion, protection, and standby products for the global market. The company now has over 3,000,000 power systems deployed around the world, and more than $600 million in annual sales. Fred is also the driving force behind the Kaiser Foundation, established to fulfill The Alpha Group’s philanthropic interests; over the past decade The Kaiser Foundation has contributed over $10M in support of BC’s institutions of higher learning.
