David Farrar
David H. Farrar is the Advisor to the President at The University of British Columbia and a Professor of Chemistry. From 2007 to 2015, he served as the Provost and Vice-President Academic at The University of British Columbia (UBC). As Provost, Dr. Farrar had responsibility for the academic mandate of UBC at its Vancouver campus and provided leadership in planning, policy development and management of resources to achieve strategic goals. The portfolio encompassed 12 Faculties, as well as academic support units such as the Library, Information Technology, Continuing Studies, Enrollment Services and units with responsibility for supporting teaching, learning and research. Dr. Farrar came to UBC from the University of Toronto where he served as Vice-Provost Students with responsibility for all central enrolment, student affairs and student services activities.
