
Daniel Bowditch
Dan graduated from UBC Electrical Engineering in 1971. He retired after 39 years with BC Hydro, Westech Information Systems, Accenture Business Services for Utilities and his own Starboard Consulting. Since 1987, Dan has been a pioneer in Geospatial Information Systems for utilities working extensively throughout North America. Since his student days at UBC, Dan has given back to his profession and community through volunteer leadership roles with industry, environmental and charitable non-profits. He was a recipient of the Geospatial Information and Technology Association’s
Distinguished Service Award in 2010 and the UBC Engineering Alumni Community Leadership Award in 2015. Dan continues with charitable work as board chair of the Rogue Folk Club and as a partner with Social Venture Partners Vancouver. In his spare time, Dan enjoys cycling, kayaking, snow shoeing, skiing and electric vehicles. He also helps in the back yard vegetable garden with Ursula, his wife of 47 years.
