Aaron Coret
Aaron Coret is a co-inventor of the Landing Pad and a director of Katal Innovations. The inspiration for the Katal Landing Pad was a direct result of a snowboarding accident that left him a quadriplegic in 2005. In 2007 Aaron partnered with fellow engineering student Stephen Slen with the goal of designing an inflatable product to reduce the risk of freestyle ski and snowboard training. They later formed Katal Innovations Inc. in 2008. As part of Katal, Aaron has been featured on several national news broadcasts, spoken at TEDx Vancouver, received the invention of the year award from popular science in 2011 and won a bid to design an airbag product that was featured in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics 2010. Aaron is now in the process shifting Katal’s focus to designing and developing summer dry land training facilities for current and future Olympic freestyle skiers and snowboarders.
