In 2025, we mark the 20th anniversary of the first graduating class of Nurse Practitioners from the University of British Columbia. The original class of eight joined the Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in Applied Sciences.
The group recently gathered for a reunion at the Terminal City Club in downtown Vancouver. They remain connected through their work within the health authority.
Since 2005, the number of Nurse Practitioners in the province has grown from fewer than 20 to approximately 1,200. Today, UBC offers 45 seats per year in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program (MSN, NP).
We thank UBC alumni for helping bring everyone together to celebrate this important milestone!
