The University of British Columbia, Faculty of Applied Science and Monash University, Faculty of Engineering have agreed to pursue collaborative research and education initiatives.
Monash University is Australia’s largest university, established in Melbourne, Australia in 1958. Monash University is a member of Australia’s Group of Eight, an alliance of elite Australian Universities recognized for their excellence in teaching and research. Its eight members produce more that 70 per cent of all basic research conducted at all of Australia’s public universities. The Monash University Faculty of Engineering is Australia’s top engineering school (Times Higher Education, 2018-2019), focused on research and education that delivers sustainable solutions for society’s global challenges – climate, energy, resources, food, infrastructure, transportation, water, health, communications, and security.
