What's your IMPACT? Tell us — we'll tell the world.

Tell us about your research project(s) by filling in the impact project form.

Why are we doing this?

The IMPACT Project will allow the Faculty to see the big picture of APSC: Who’s working in what areas? Where are we creating the most impact? Where could we improve? Who might benefit from interdisciplinary collaboration? Having this information will help us elevate our reputation by increasing awareness of our impact and igniting new collaborations and partnerships.

How will this benefit you? - Faculty

You will be able to access the IMPACT Project results to learn about and connect with APSC researchers.

Information on APSC research activities will also help various UBC groups — communications, development, special projects and UBC Media Relations, among others — to increase your exposure within the UBC community and to external audiences.

Increased media exposure and greater awareness within the research community could help with the following:

CITATIONS

Research papers are likely to be read and cited more often.

FUNDING

Improve your chances of future funding success as more grant funders look for evidence of community outreach and engagement.

REPUTATION

Receive greater recognition for your research achievements — by your director/head, your peers, and local, national and global media.

COLLABORATION

Form new collaborations — see what researchers are working on in architecture and landscape architecture, engineering, nursing and planning.

PARTNERSHIPS

Businesses, policymakers, nonprofits and other institutions may feel more confident in partnering with you on projects.

STUDENTS

Attract the brightest students from across the globe who want to study under top researchers.

AND

Your director/head and the dean will love you... a lot.
